Stanley “Dark-Skin-Swindle” Fritz

Stanley Fritz first graced the world with his presence on February 21, 1986. Born to Haitian immigrant parents in East New York, Brooklyn, Stanley is the elder of two children. An avid reader since the age of six, Stanley has basically been writing stories since he could tie his shoes. He published his first book “Beautiful Problems,” a collection of short stories that blur the line between fiction and reality, in February 2012.

As a child, Stanley’s neighborhood was filled with loud mothers yelling for their children, bodega music and the sweet smells of Caribbean food. He found the energy and cultural diversity of East New York inspiring and his short stories quickly became popular with his grade school teachers.

That creative passion and drive propelled Stanley to enroll at SUNY College at Old Westbury to pursue a degree in English literature. Stanley quickly built a positive and productive reputation on his college campus as a leader. He held a job as resident assistant and was an active member of Chi Sigma Theta Fraternity Inc.

Stanley graduated in 2010 and quickly began working to achieve his two lifelong goals; political activism and writing. He has been working for the group NYPIRG, an organization that advocates for students and serves the public good, while and simultaneously co-hosting, co-producing, and engineering Let Your Voice Be Heard. Oh yeah, and he wrote a book too. There’s a reason why they call him "Stan the Man"…this guy is motivated, smart, and oh yeah, ladies…he has a voice like hot melted butter.

Dustin Plutzer, “The Token White Guy”

Dustin grew up in Long Island where he liked to skateboard, throw paint ball pellets at passing trucks, and play music at obnoxiously loud volumes. His parents had a long and ugly divorce that led to a lot of moving around. Eventually Dustin waved farewell to New York and set off for paradise…San Diego, CA.

He took full advantage of the pub-crawls and beach drinking, but he also wanted to make a name for himself in the business world. With no college degree he got a job as a telemarketer selling mortgage refinances. From there he got his Real Estate license and even eventually started his own business. He had a pretty good run of success until the market crashed in 2006. In his search for a new job he remembered his love of music, and got a job with Clear Channel Radio San Diego selling radio advertising.

At 24 years old he just wasn’t satisfied with his career and realized he wanted to make a huge change; he wanted to be the guy ON the microphone. He moved back to New York City where he took night classes at The City College of New York and recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications. He interned at SiriusXM radio for “the king of all media,” Howard Stern, and he now works at SiriusXM full time as an associate producer for “Stand Up! w/ Pete Dominick.”

Stan-the-man, the official LYVBH engineer, heard Dustin’s radio show at City College and invited him to join the LYVBH staff. They must have been really desperate for a white boy (haha). In addition to radio, Dustin has dreams of writing and performing comedy routines, publishing fiction novels, and producing music. A little-known fact about Dustin is that he was in a punk rock band called The Narotics when he was 12 years old, misspelling the word on purpose so he could have the anarchy symbol in the band name.
